LONDON FASHION WEEK RETURNS, WITH M.A.C COSMETICS AT THE HELM
Spring/Summer 2009 may seem a long way off, but for the fashion pack it will be arriving this coming week with the opening of London Fashion Week. As the uber-stylish Fashion Editors and Buyers take their seats in the front row (dressed in the cream of their Autumn/Winter 08 wardrobe no less), they will be holding their collective breaths to see the latest pieces from designers such as Giles, Vivienne Westwood Red Label, Richard Nicoll and Ossie Clark.
Of course, it won’t only be clothes setting the trends this week, but also the talented team of makeup artists behind the scenes. M.A.C Cosmetics will be supporting a record breaking 40 designers in London this season. Heading up the backstage team will be M.A.C’s Director of Makeup Artistry in the UK, Terry Barber, working alongside over 70 M.A.C Pro Makeup Artists.
As the talented team get to work on creating unique catwalk looks, they will also have the responsibility to test various M.A.C product prototypes, giving the Product Development team specific feedback on product texture, colour and application.
This season, the M.A.C Pro Team, will be in the final testing phases of a new hydrating foundation with a unique cream-gel technology and a corresponding concealer. Additionally, the team will be trying out a new lip-gloss formula, a new loose pigment formula, a mineral cake eye liner, and an eye base in an array of vibrant shades. M.A.C aims to launch the products in either Spring 2009 or Autumn 2009. You heard it here first….
